Mrs. Kumudben Madanbhai Sura Nursing School

There is constant and increasing demand for trained nurses in our country and abroad. It offers viable and well paying employment and hence it is a good career option.

With aim to provide nursing training and thereby employment opportunities, the foundation constructed Nursing School at Ambi in the premises of Sanghvi Complex with donation given by foundation’s patron, late Lion Madanbhai Sura in the name of his wife Mrs. Kumudben Sura. It started functioning from August 2002 and is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Maharashtra Nursing Council and Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and paramedical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra.

This school conducts 2 years revised ANM training for 12th class passed girls, women & divorcees in the age group of 17-35 years. Every year a batch of 30 students are admitted in July-August. Girls from backward classes and from undeveloped areas like Amaravati, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Gondia, Nashik etc. are given preference and also orphans and girls from poor families. Scholarship is awarded by Govt. of Maharashtra to BC, OBC, SC students.

It is our constant endeavour to see that our trained nurses meet the Health Services standards and also are caring. Our nursing school is very unique as it offers working experience in hospital and old age homes being in the same complex.

The Principal and Warden manage the nursing school and nurses hostel. A nursing committee formed under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Meena Shah assists them in the management and related issues.
