Many children now are showing excellent progress in their curricular and extra curricular activities and some of them are supported by few corporate houses. They are supported beyond school education and even in skill development training.
Accommodation is a major hurdle for large number of students in general and our beneficiaries in particular. To overcome this foundation has constructed following hostels.
It is constructed in the vicinity of foundation’s Nursing School for it’s students during their education at Ambi and is well equipped and has a gym as well.
This hostel was constructed with financial aid of Rs. 90 lakhs provided under Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatravas Yojana by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. It was inaugurated on 12th July 2017 by hon’ble Shri Rajkumar Badole, Minister, Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Govt. of Maharashtra. This hostel serves our 60 nursing students during their stay in Pune .
This 400 capacity hostel well equipped with all the amenities is constructed to overcome the problem of drop out of street children due to migration of parents. It provides conducive atmosphere for continuation of education for the children living in adverse conditions. The construction work began in 2018 with assurance of Rs. 5 crores from Bajaj Allianze. Rotary International, Rotary Club of Poona Downtown has sponsored complete furniture and fixture with the help of Shri Mukesh & Shri Ashwini Malhotra.
It was inaugurated on 8th January 2024 by hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, former President of India in the presence of Shri Prakash Javadekar, MP, Rajya Sabha, Mrs. Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson, Steering Committee, Bajaj Finserv and Mr. Nitinbhai Desai, Chairman, Desai Brothers Ltd.
This auditorium is constructed with donation given by Kothari family in memory of late Shri Bankatlal M Kothari and late Mrs. Shobha Rajendra Kothari. It serves as auditorium for all the functions arranged at Katraj and also for conducting various types of trainings.
