In 2014, India became the first country to mandate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through the Companies Act, 2013, emphasizing the role of businesses in societal development. At Janaseva Foundation, we share this vision and have worked to uplift marginalized communities. We launched a dedicated CSR department under Mr. Surender Kumar, leveraging his expertise to enhance our impact. With guidance from Dr. Vinod Shah, we achieved milestones such as certification by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, raising over ₹10 Crores in grants, and forming strong corporate partnerships. Our collaboration with Thyssenkrupp in 2015 marked a significant start, funding projects like a sewage treatment plant, ophthalmic equipment, and a solar power installation. Beyond financial support, our corporate partners have contributed to sustainable, eco-friendly initiatives. Reflecting on our CSR journey, we see the transformative power of collaboration in creating a more equitable future.
